Who we are

This site is operated by Red Skios Ltd, trading as KVLR Code, a company registered in Malta. References to "we", "us", or "KVLR Code" in this policy mean Red Skios Ltd, trading as KVLR Code. For any privacy matter, write to hello@kvlrcode.com.

What this policy covers

This policy explains what personal data we collect when you visit this website, why we collect it, how we use it, and the rights you have over it. It applies to the website at kvlrcode.com. It does not cover engagements with clients, which are governed by the relevant contract.

The data we collect

  • Information you give us. When you email us through links on the site or send a message via a form, we receive your email address, your message, and anything else you choose to include.
  • Information collected automatically. When you visit the site, your browser sends technical information such as IP address, user agent, language, referrer, and the pages you view. Our hosting provider records this in standard server logs for security and abuse prevention.
  • Information from cookies. If you give consent, we set additional cookies for analytics and, in future, advertising. Strictly necessary cookies do not require consent. See the cookie policy for the full list and how to manage them.

How we use the data

  • To respond to messages you send us.
  • To keep the site running, secure, and free from abuse.
  • To understand how the site is used and to improve it, only if you accept analytics cookies.
  • To measure marketing effectiveness, only if you accept advertising cookies. We do not run advertising at the time this policy was last updated; the category is reserved for future use.

We rely on the following bases under the GDPR. Legitimate interest for running and securing the site and for responding to inquiries you initiate. Consent for analytics and advertising cookies and for any direct marketing emails. You can withdraw consent at any time without affecting anything that has already happened on that basis.

Sharing

We use a small number of processors who handle data on our behalf. They are bound by data processing terms and only act on our instructions.

  • Cloudflare — hosting, CDN, DDoS protection.
  • Google — Tag Manager and Google Analytics 4, used only if you accept analytics cookies.

We do not sell personal data. We do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.

International transfers

Some processors operate outside the EEA. Where this is the case, we rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or an equivalent safeguard recognised under the GDPR.

Retention

  • Server logs are retained for up to 30 days for security purposes.
  • Analytics data is retained for the period configured in Google Analytics, currently 14 months.
  • Emails you send us are kept for as long as we need them to handle the conversation and any follow-up, then archived or deleted.

Your rights

If the GDPR applies to your data, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, port, and object. You also have the right to withdraw consent at any time and the right to complain to a supervisory authority. Malta's authority is the Office of the Information and Data Protection Commissioner (idpc.org.mt).

Children

This site is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16.

Changes

If we change this policy in a way that affects you, we will update the "last updated" date above. For significant changes we will surface a notice on the site.
